About Us

The Idaho Sportsman Lodge was created by a
father and son's work of labor and love. We had an
idea to develop an overnight stay experience that is
something really special. We feel like we have hit
the mark. The Lodge is a home away from home
and will capture that special time you are looking for.
Our dream and goal was to make something that
different types of people including: hunters,
fisherman, adventurers, and families, could come
and enjoy the building and the area.  In our lodge a
large group of people can share the space and
create a memorable experience.

The project was started in the Spring of  2005 when
we purchased the property with the idea of
remodeling an extremely old home into a nice rental
property.  Our vision quickly changed and the
house had to go.  We demolished the old house but
were careful to save much of the aged wood to be
used again.  Much of the furniture that resides in
the lodge was created from this recycled wood.

One of the buildings that resided on the property
was an old barn that had been used as a horse
stable during the wagon days.  This building had to
be torn down but we have incorporated some of the
old wood into our new structure.

Our furniture was created by a local artist and it fits
the rustic feel for that real Idaho experience.  If you
like what you see during your stay, many items are
for sale.  We strive to support the local craftsman
that have helped give the lodge such a unique feel.

The quaint town of Stites includes a post office, bar,
two churches, a grocery store and a very unique
coffee house/cafe called the
Chatterbox.  It is a
small place but the people are very friendly and you
will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
